Computer software, often simply referred to as “software,” is a collection of programs, data, and instructions that tell a computer how to perform specific tasks or functions. It serves as the bridge between computer hardware and the end user, allowing the hardware to execute commands, manage data, and provide a platform for applications.

System software

System software is software that directly operates the computer hardware and provides the basic functionality to the users as well as to the other software to operate smoothly.
