CPA KASNEB UNITS

CPA (Certified Public Accountant) units under KASNEB (Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board) are divided into three levels. The levels include: foundation, intermediate, and advanced.

• Management Accounting: Focuses on cost accounting, budgeting, and performance management.
• Public Finance and Taxation: Introduces principles of taxation and public financial management

3. CPA Advanced Level

The Advanced Level is divided into compulsory and specialization papers, allowing candidates to focus on areas of interest. The units include:

Compulsory Papers:

• Leadership and Management: Covers leadership skills, strategic management, and organizational behavior.
• Advanced Financial Reporting: Focuses on complex financial reporting standards and practices.
• Advanced Financial Management: Teaches advanced financial strategies, investment analysis, and risk management
• Advanced Management Accounting: Teaches advanced cost management and performance evaluation.

Specialization Papers

• Advanced Taxation: Covers advanced tax planning and compliance.
• Advanced Auditing and Assurance: Focuses on advanced auditing techniques and ethical considerations.
• Advanced Public Financial Management: Focuses on public sector financial management and accountability.
• Business Data Analytics (Practical Paper): Provides hands-on experience in data analysis and interpretation
