KASNEB Exam Remarking Appeal

Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB) students have the right to appeal for remarking of exams in instances when believe your exam results do not reflect their performance. KASNEB provides a formal process for candidates to request a review of their exam scripts under specific guidelines. This article provides guidelines for the KASNEB exam remarking appeal.

Guidelines for KASNEB Exam Remarking Appeal
There are guidelines that students who wish to appeal for remarking of exams must follow. The guidelines include:
- Students must submit your application within 14 days from the date the results are released which is indicated on the exam results notification (Late applications will not be considered, so act promptly).
- Do not to make the appeal decision in a rush because no extraneous circumstances will be considered during the remarking.
- The students name should NOT appear anywhere on the appeal form
- Students should deliver the appeal form in person or sent by post. (Email and other electronic media should NOT be used).
- Students have to pay a remarking fee of Sh. 5,000 per paper for technician and diploma level examinations and Sh.7,500 per paper for professional level examinations. Therefore, students who appeal should attach a copy of the receipt or bank deposit slip for the remarking fee to the appeal form.
Note
- The outcome of the appeal will be communicated to the student through the contact information provided on the form within four weeks of the appeal. KASNEB will NOT enter into any further correspondence with the student on the appeal.
- Students who appeal are required to commit to accept the outcome of the remarking as final.
- A refund of the remarking fee, less an administrative charge of 15% shall be made if, after the remarking, the student’s results for a particular paper change from FAIL to PASS.
