The theory is based on the idea of “power with” rather than “power over” others. She believed that management should be a process of cooperation and coordination rather than control and domination. Follett’s key principles of management include: The importance of cooperation and coordination, the value of relationships, the importance of communication, the need for flexibility and the importance of creativity.
