11.7 Methods of introducing strategic change
There are several methods that organizations can use to introduce strategic change, including:
- Incremental change: This method involves making gradual and small changes over time, rather than a radical overhaul of the organization.
- Transformational change: This method involves a radical overhaul of the organization, and often involves significant changes to the organizational structure, processes, culture, and technology.
- Top-down change: This method involves change being driven and initiated by senior leaders, who set the vision and direction for the change initiative.
- Bottom-up change: This method involves change being initiated and driven by employees, who are given the opportunity to contribute and participate in the change process.
- Change through crisis: This method involves change being initiated as a response to a crisis, such as a financial downturn or a major competition.
