This includes the organization’s culture, structure, systems, processes, resources, and capabilities. The internal environment plays a crucial role in determining an organization’s ability to achieve its goals and objectives. Examples of elements within the internal environment include:

  1. Culture: The values, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors that shape the organization’s identity and influence its decision-making.
  2. Structure: The formal system of authority and communication, including the design of jobs, the reporting relationships, and the allocation of responsibilities.
  3. Systems and processes: The procedures, processes, and technologies that support the organization’s operations and management.
  4. Resources: The financial, human, and technological assets that the organization has at its disposal.
  5. Capabilities: The skills, knowledge, and expertise of the organization’s employees and its ability to perform specific activities and functions.
