Data transmission media refer to the physical or logical pathways through which data is transmitted between devices in a computer network.

Below are the most common data transmission media:

  1. Twisted pair cable:
  2. Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP)
  3. Coaxial cable
  4. Fiber Optic cable
  5. Wireless transmission
  6. Microwave transmission
  7. Satellite communication
  8. Infrared (IR)
